Two great funk carioca acts have been hittin` some european music festivals lately. One of them is the Favela Funk Mcs which consists of Bani Silva aka Mc Dilan Djam and the 18 years-old talented beauty Natalia aka Aguia Morena. Both come from Rio and live in Munich, Germany. Favela Funk Mcs exists from January 2006 and now they are embracing the world: they gave a great performance at the last "New Attraction Festival" in Groningen, Netherlands, that you can see a bit here:
Their hot live-perfomance will take place again on next September 1st in Berlin during the "Baile Funk Im Kino Babylon" venue. Will post more infos about that soon...
The other act I was talking about was the maestro (he again!) Sany Pitbull and the funk carioca live legend Mc Duda do Borel at the Pori Jazz Festival in Finland. Pori is one of the most respected and famous jazz festivals in Scandinavia. Sany and Duda made 4 (!) gigs in the same festival before leave to Stockholm. Some people said that the performances were increadible good. Here you can see and feel a bit how it must have been there:

And what would say some funk carioca oppositors about that? Probably things like: "Funk (Carioca) cannot be considered as "music" (lol), its Mcs are illiterates,whom cannot sing at all and this kind of stupid stuff." So imagine if they would...
